Peter Butz
Peter Butz is the Video and Social Content Producer at The Australia Institute. Peter has been a professional cinematographer and camera operator for nearly twenty years, an award-winning VFX artist for most of that time, and a photographer for ten.
Peter studied Television Production at Charles Sturt University, Cinematography at Metroscreen, Visual Effects for Film at AIE, and photography through specialised mentorships.
Amongst an eclectic career he captured the first ever Indigenous Australian art exhibition in Havana, Cuba, the inaugural cross-cultural art exchange program in Sagada, Philippines, Assistant Directed for Discovery Six, was Gaffer for feature film “Theatre of the Dead”, filmed news for SBS and Prime TV, and assisted renown actor Billy Zane on the set of Canberran feature film “Blue World Order”.
He is honoured to be a part of the Australia Institute, and looks forward to championing their dedication to bringing the truth to everyday Australians.
