The submission supports the initiative of the PIF’s 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, but the Department’s consultation questions do not tackle the core strategic problems – what are Australia’s policy objectives, how do these objectives intersect with those of other PIF members, and what are the tools at each nations’ disposal to achieve them?
