Executive Director, Mr Ben Oquist
Appointed in 2015, Mr Ben Oquist is a highly respected political and communications strategist and commentator. Mr Oquist is known for his ability to negotiate across the political spectrum and drive national policy debate and outcomes. He is a regular commentator and contributor across broadcast and print media.
Deputy Director, Ms Ebony Bennett
Ms Ebony Bennett is the Deputy Director of The Australia Institute and has worked in federal politics for more than a decade. Ms Bennett has published research on climate change, gender and street harassment. She regularly appears as a commentator on Sky News and as a contributor for the Guardian and Fairfax publications.
Chief Economist, Dr Richard Denniss
Dr Richard Denniss is the Chief Economist and former Executive Director of The Australia Institute. Dr Denniss is a prominent Australian economist, author and public policy commentator, and a former Associate Professor in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University.
