Hamdi Jama
Hamdi Jama is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Australia Institute.
Hamdi holds a PhD in medical science from Monash University and has published extensively on nutritional science and cardiovascular health. Before joining the Australia Institute, Hamdi spent over six years in discovery and clinical health research, including leading a clinical trial at Monash University that demonstrated how fibre can effectively lower blood pressure. Hamdi’s research focuses on preventive health, systemic inequities in healthcare access, and the social determinants of health across Australia.
