Prof George Williams AO

This talk by pre-eminent constitutional lawyer Prof George Williams AO from the University of New South Wales addresses issues of human rights reform such as same sex marriage and the recognition of Aboriginal Peoples in the Constitution, as well as the so-called ‘Bolt Laws’ on racial discrimination and the role of the new Human Rights Commissioner.

George has appeared as a barrister in the High Court in some of the most important constitutional law cases of the past two decades, including on freedom of speech, freedom from racial discrimination and asylum seekers and the rule of law.
