Anara Watson
Anara Watson is an Anne Kantor Fellow at The Australia Institute.
Anara holds degrees in Law (Honours) and Environmental Science from Flinders University. Her recent research centres on international protections afforded to the Coorong and Lakes Alexandrina and Albert Ramsar-listed Wetland in South Australia in the face of climate change.
She is passionate about environmental justice and policy work that advances equitable, evidence‑based outcomes for communities and the environment. She has worked in the environment and planning team at the South Australian Crown Solicitor’s Office and volunteered for Refugee Legal.
