Sara Charlesworth
Sara Charlesworth is Professor Emerita in the College of Business & Law at RMIT University. Her research centres on gender (in)equality in employment in the labour market, industry and workplace levels.
Sara has published and presented widely in a wide range of academic, policy and community fora and has participated in key gender equality and industrial relations reviews and debates. Her current areas of focus include low-paid women workers, pay equity, paid care work, migrant care workers and gender-based violence. Sara has been invited to provide expert evidence on these topics to government inquiries and to the Fair Work Commission. Sara is a member of the Victorian government’s Equal Workplaces Advisory Council and co-convenor of the Work+Family Policy Roundtable, a network of Australian gender, work and care scholars.
