Before joining the Australia Institute team, Hayden worked for Cricket ACT, producing digital content and working on operations for international matches such as the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the 2019 Men’s T20 INTL Series.

Hayden is also a multimedia artist and has exhibited sculptures and video art in Canberra and Wollongong. He was a feature artist of Belconnen Art Centre’s Artmap project and their Art in Place program. His art explores the tensions and overlaps between urban and natural environments.
