Jack Thrower is a Senior Economist at the Australia Institute.
He has experience working across the federal public service at the Department of Finance, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Attorney-General’s Department in policy areas including criminal justice, trade, regulatory policy, employment services and workplace relations. He holds Bachelor degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and Law (Honours) from the Australian National University.
Jack’s interests include inequality, taxation, social policy, the welfare state, and industrial relations.
