Farmers by their nature adapt and innovate to the landscape around them. All AEA members access their energy from renewable sources, some of which is installed on their own properties. The problem until now has been these farmers pay the same price for energy produced in their own paddock as energy produced at a power plant half a state away, even though the energy only passed from one paddock to the next.

The AEA is working on a model with farmers to distribute their power more effectively and efficiently, thereby saving costs and making their investment more worthwhile. There are also creating a significant buying group which will further enhance their investment.
