The Australia Institute Tasmania
Established in 2017, the Australia Institute’s Tasmanian office contributes to the state’s public debate through research, stakeholder engagement, policy development, events, and public education.
With a particular focus on democracy and accountability, marine governance, climate, environmental and economic policy areas, the Australia Institute’s Tasmanian office enhances the local impact of one of the nation’s most influential public policy think tanks.
From reforming Tasmania’s tax system and electoral laws to analysing the economic and social impact of transitioning out of the native forest timber industry, the Australia Institute Tasmania is committed to publishing research that matters, and improving policy outcomes for all Tasmanians.
