Kristen Scicluna

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr Kristen Scicluna is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australia Institute.

Kristen is a former molecular cell biologist and protein biochemist with over a decade of experience in the biomedical research sector. She completed her PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) through the University of Melbourne.

Kristen investigated the underlying molecular drivers of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. After completing her doctorate, she worked as a Communications Adviser, translating complex scientific discoveries into understandable language for non-technical audiences.

Kristen’s interests include research integrity, establishing a national research integrity watchdog, and higher education and university reform.
